My first H1 was from "Company A" back in 2001. Company A also sponsored me for my green card. In 2005 I transferred my H1 to Company B, however my green card was still sponsored with Company A. I have an approved I-140 and I am waiting on my PD to become current. My H1 is suppose to get renew in August of 2007, which will be through Company B.
I have heard that after 6 years renewal, your current H1 company should have sponsored you for green card in order to get the 7th year H1. And as you can see in my case that my previous company has sponsored me for my
H1 and not my current company.
Can someone put some light on this issue.

I'm in Spain this week so can't give the full treatment, but thanks to readers who sent this happy news. The US has won the Nobel Prize in medicine for work done by these two scientists as well as Carol Greider. Blackburn is Australian-born and Szostak is British-born. Senators Schumer and Graham presented a three page outline of their reform proposal when they met earlier this week. Did any one get their labor approved that are filed after June 2008? Does anyone know how long it is taking these days?

I applied for AP and EAD renewal in July 2010. I need to go to India by Oct 1st week for some personal work which can not wait beyond that time.
I am planing to expidite my AP if I wont get AP by then. What can I do with my EAD?
- Do I need to be present in US for EAD or I can leave US and ask my friend send EAD to India when it gets approved?
- If I go to India before EAD approval and if I am called for finger printing what are my options? Like, if I dont/cant come by the finger printing appointment date what happens ?
I appreciate for your reply.

I did send my wife's and my daughter's RFE in one package. But have separate cover lettter and folder. One packet is enough, clearly distiguish between two set of papers.
My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

I am on 8th year of my H-1B, expiring on July-2008.
I am on EB3 Nebraska, PD 07/2003.
I-140 pending � RFE on Education (3 years degree) replied on December-2007
EAD approved on September-2007.
I485 aplied on july-2-2007
Just got an email from Cris that my I485 was denied. I don�t know the reason.
My I140 is still pending � almost 4 months after my attorney replied the I140 RFE.
Today I am writing this in order to understand my available options and strategy to this situation.
I have less than 2 months on H-1(b).
What are my options?
Anybody in the same situation?

I have filed for AOS for myself and my wife. She is visiting india next month and needs to return on H4.
Since I have valid h1....can she apply for h4 or is that risky?
Hard to tell not knowing these things:
1. Were you ever out of status from the last time you entered?
2. Do you have paychecks for all the months on H1?
3. Which visa center are you visiting ?
4. Was your wife ever out of status from the last time she entered US?
It's all in the history. If it's clean, its not a problem. If you are not sure, then wait for AP as it would be a safe backup.

I was scheduled for Infopass today and found out the alien number assigned to my I-485 application is not the one mentioned in I-140 and belongs to somebody else in florida. I called NSC and they processed the service request and told me to wait for 45 days. I talked to NSC directly and without checking my application details, the officer tried to assure me that it is something that they will be able to fix when they will adjudicate my case. My EAD and fingerprinting were cleared under the wrong alien number and my lawyer told me that the alien number is assigned by USCIS. I will check my documents to find out if they did that mistake.
Anyone else got in similar situation or know about someone with the same issue?
