I think now everybody here should understand this very well that only one person who can do something about it is you, yourself. No one else, no industry, not AIALA, nobody else is fighting to help you. IV is the only organization that is fighting for your cause and the only way you can help yourself is support IV. Go IV go.

I have been working with this employer for the past 3 years, but i have put in a transfer and got the H1 approved. It is ok to go for H1 stamping without paystubs from the new employer. I have paystubs of previous employer.

The priority dates moved because of IV's efforts.
The phone calls we made and the webfaxes and email we sent to senetors, really got attention to the issue we were facing.
Congratulation and a big thank you to everyone who contributed to IV.
And thanks to IV core team for great leadership.
Whatever may happen in future, now we know that if we unite and put in efforts we can get even seemingly imposiible things done !
Great job everyone.

I got to know from my attorney that, USCIS has my I 140 information in their system and they gave him a receipt number. But, the receipt is not generated yet. It may take a week or so to get the receipt. My appl was filed on 12th and it reached NSC on 13th.
I checked the status online with this receipt # and online status shows that they recieved the aplication on 19th and its at Texas center. May be my appl was moved to Texas now.
wat information does the lawyer/employer needs to give to USCIS to get the receipt number ?
Can you put some light on it ...

Hey guys,
I am planning to take Infopass to see what more information i can collect.
Also does anybody know if USCIS send courtesy copy of Denial Notice to you as well.
My concern is that my attorney sent G-28 and AC21 both but he feel that since I-485 got denied means they have never updated G-28 or AC21 so it might go to my old attorney.
Does anyone know if i will get courtesy copy of denial notice?
Thanks

Most people showing their cool wisdom still not getting the point. A BEC person with Feb 2005 PD may not be able to file for another 2 years while a PD 2007 person will be enjoying EAD during that time. In my dictionary this is injustice. And that's why i was kinda happy when they updated the July bulletin, now I'm not really happy even if my company has already filed my 485/EAD on july 2. I'm still wishing (and i'll be honest) USCIS come up with a reason/regulation/rule that will delay EAD for everyone until BEC people are able to file 485 OR in Oct they retrogress only till March 2005.
P.S. if you are superstitious, you want to know this: most of my relatives/freinds call me "Black Tongue" because usually when i say something unpleasent it happens. e.g. i told my wife last month that i don't believe everyone is able to file 485, something will go wrong and everyone will be disappointed. (when everyone expects something it does not happen- contrarian theory)

Put in a modest membership as $250 a year or $25/month. No trial memberships or free rides. That way you will really know the serious members and we will able to verify anti-immigrants vs the actual people. Let's go PAID !!! Also please plan on considering web advertisements on this website as another source of funding the movement.

Thank you for contacting me about my views on the current immigration proposals being considered by Congress.
I have long supported legislation to curb illegal immigration by increasing criminal penalties for immigrant smuggling and document fraud, eliminating the use of government documents that are easily forged, and doubling the number of border patrol guards. Better enforcement and tougher penalties for both undocumented immigrants and their lawbreaking employers are the way to fight unauthorized employment, and employment opportunities are what drive illegal immigration.
Unless we fix the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and enforce our own labor laws, we will continue to debate how high the fence should be and how many agents should guard our border with no real solution in sight. In 1994, the U.S. signed NAFTA, which promised, among other things, to help create a thriving middle class in Mexico. At that time there were 3 million undocumented workers in the U.S.; today there are more than 11 million. In Mexico, 9 million more live in poverty than when NAFTA was enacted. NAFTA has failed the U.S. and Mexico. By creating an atmosphere where Mexican citizens feel they have no chance of a successful life in Mexico, these ill-conceived trade agreements increase the number of illegal immigrants coming into our country.
In addition to addressing the forces that are compelling illegal immigration, we must take action to bring illegal immigrants out of the shadows. While I do not support amnesty and have serious concerns about guest worker programs, I do believe our nation should consider establishing a process by which illegal immigrants can eventually earn citizenship. The solution to our immigration problem will not be a simple one, as many things in our country need to be fixed to stop illegal immigration. It is time to take a common sense approach to immigration reform.
The Senate most recently considered immigration when S.1639 was introduced in the 110th Congress. On June 28, 2007, the Senate rejected a cloture motion to proceed to final passage of S.1639 by a vote of 46 yeas to 53 nays. I was deeply concerned about the guest worker provisions in this bill, and voted against proceeding to a final vote. Should these issues come again before the Senate in the 111th Congress, I will be sure to keep your views in mind. Thank you again for contacting me.
Sincerely,
Sherrod Brown

What is fair is that we treat everyone here (and everywhere else for that matter) with respect without regard to the country of birth or the EB category. Some are more educated than others, some are more skilled than others, and some are more lucky than others when it comes to green card but what is common to everyone of us is that we are in this mess together. To be honest I don't think we are here to figure out what's best for United States, we are here to get our green card, live the American dream, and make the best out of it.
Therefore, let's not make this GC journey anymore difficult than it already is by fighting amongst ourselves about who is more skilled and who is more deserving. Besides, constant bickering among the IV members will only further divide and alienate more members and won't help us in any way so I suggest that we avoid doing things that has the potential of dividing or alienating members.
Apart from the bad language used by some people .... I dont believe that there is any infighting .... disagreements with point of view is not infighting ... It just a primer for the points and discussions that will definitely come up when lawmakers will argue their points of view. And from that perspective it is enriching this portal forum and not denigrating it.
I welcome the discussion.

Jaime, your thought of having one more rally in Silicon Valley is a good one but again you are going to have the same crowd..!!
People in neighbouring states of DC did not make it , you tthink they will make it all the way to west coast! very doubtful!!
We should aim at bringing in more people to this family as possible..
Looks like a simultaneous rally on a weekend will be very effective!
And this time for the rally we will carry one one slogan banners
'SHORTEN THE WAIT FOR LEGAL IMMIGRANTS' or something similar!
just a thought!
You are right rajsand..we can make more people to rally by oranizing the Rally duing the week ends and also that we need to make sure to have some Volunters to get in touch with the IV members through e-mail or by calling them which ever is convinet to make sure weather they are attending the rally or not..if yes collect their names and contact info.. in that way we can estimate that how many people will be attending the rally and we can plan accordingly to infrom some news channels to cover the rally in that way we can able to get more media publicity...it's just my thought..what do you guys say?

Commercial airlines fly between 25,000 ft and 40,000 ft. Airlines generally take risks for profits. I know it. Some airlines like United are ultra sensitive to turbulence. Some fly right through turbulence. And sometimes I feel some pilots are plain incompetent, they have no control over aircraft during the storm.
I have personally taken 500+ flights, almost 2 every week. And I can say, I get really nervous when turbulence or strong clouds are present. You are one second away from the big one. Always always wear seat belt during turbulence, if it gets severe, you will hit the head on the ceiling. The turbulence during take off and landing is usually more risky as aircraft is closer to ground and can not afford to lose altitude. If it is at a higher altitude, aircraft can lose some altitude, due to "air pockets" and still be ok.
yes, i do understand that. I still donot understand why fly into a "thunderstorm"!

Sorry, I don't agree with you and also my mistake that I am linking my perm labor filing with Larrabee. I agree my perm labor is delayed because of my company.
But I have seen Larrabee handling my h1B transfer case where they screw up by missing some document. Atleast by my experience I wound not suggest my company and Larrabee as well for any immigration stuff
all our h1's transfers perm 140 got processed smoothly with larrabee...they worked all of friday and saturday to file 485's to reach by monday
it all boils down to which attorney handles your case?
