Where is my application for adjustment of status filed?
All employment based adjustment of status applications are filed at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). The NSC will keep half of the cases it receives and send half to the Texas Service Center . There is no way of indicating which Service Center you want your case adjudicated at. Once the receipt notices are received you will know where your case is pending. All family based adjustment of status applications are filed at the National Benefits Center.

You are correct, it took around 10 months. From prevailing wage to labor approval. 2 months I mean filing actual labor application to approval.

Does it mean the eligibility criteria/job requirement for EB2 is changed from Bachelors + 5 years of experience to Bachelors + 10 years of experience?
This line is not good:
(ii) Evidence in the form of letter(s) from current or former employer(s) showing that the alien has at least ten years of full-time experience in the occupation for which he or she is being sought;

At least I won't give u red dots if you can enlighten us how to get us out of this mess. And yes, we do want our green card so I don't think we can stop the process or stop spending money on that. Also please advise us how to bring all 70K people under one umbrella?
I dont mind getting Red Dots, But please, for god's sake. Stop doing this fruitless campaign. Do you guys think Giving a Clock or sending flowers solved earlier problems. Enough of this Gandhiian ways. This country is not good for people like Gandhi. May be Flower campaign got noticed and created a whole new experience for the USCIS, but i dont think it really helped them do anything in our favor. Already, folks here are wasting their money, year after year, on their EADs and APs for them and their family. Just think for a second guys, It costs us 1000 $ to maintain status on AOS and visit our family and this is going on indefinitely for our years now. USCIS/Congress does not want to do anything about this, They are happy to get the revenue. Even if you think a minimum of 200,000 people spending 1000 $ an year, it is 200,000,000 $. Iam not even considering the amount they spent on other things like H1B extension, H4s..... Just think about the Dollars they are making on this Green Card SCAM. Accept it or not, it is indirectly affecting our lives, even though, GC is not really important for lot of folks. Iam one such person, I have a good client and a decent employer and iam with the same folks for 9 years and they are happy extending my H1b at their cost. But still, this whole GC game, is sometimes disturbing. They are playing with our emotions and our loved ones. So, GUYS we need to take a bigger and bolder step. To me, Calling people, sending flowers and letters explaining the situation makes no sense. Do you think, those guys dont really know about our situation. Let us a make a bold move. We are 70,000 folks just here in ImmigrationVoice. Let us compile a letter,that pushes USCIS/Congress on improving the condition. As long as they get those EXTRA Dollars, i dont think anything is going to happen. Even if they remove the provision to apply for GC while on H1B, it is good for us, for we will know that in advance and can plan on shaping our future better, instead of this false promise and emotional torture. I think even AILA or other Lawyers are useless. They dont want to do anything for us. All they do is, interpret the LAW , and explain us in the way we can understand. They dont take steps to fight for the justice. All they care is the money. So let us make our point clear to USCIS, we dont want to waste money on EADs and APs and H1B extensions. To me, it should be free of cost, since it is their problem that they dont work efficiently. Why should we pay 1000s of dollars for their inefficiency. let us all 70,000 work together in sending a letter to USCIS or Congress that We are not willing to spend any more money on the GC knowing that we are not going to get it anyway. Unless, we do something like this, the real impact of our situation will never get noticed. IV can you please shed the light on this. EAD is a step closer Greencard. One will eventually get one. Even when some one is waiting on EAD he/she almost have all the benefits of GC except to renew each time

Till now there is no proposal to change the above.
The internal memo is for Extraordinary Ability quota, and it is in comment period. It is not implemented yet.
The similar kind of restriction should be applied for EB1 - multinational executive quota.

I can understand rejecting loans for H1 since it is supposed to be temporary employment, but it does not make sense to reject for people on EAD.
I am in the process of refinancing, but I provided my H1 papers instead of EAD and my application was approved.
It is possible each company has a different policy. I went through Wells Fargo this time.

I think it is time to write to Senators and Congressmen about the DREAM Act. Please see the post below that the Act is being re-introduced. It is under the thread "Alert from AILA for Dream Act Support". We should make sure that it is appplied to all children, including documented. As it last stood in CIR, the DREAM Act applied to only undocumented children.
I am a legal skilled immigrant, came here in 1995, and am still in line for GC. My son aged-out 3 years ago, and daughter will age-out in a month. Both of them would be on path to GC and citizenship under the DREAM Act....only if they had come here as undocumented. The DREAM Act allows the benefit till age 30, whereas legal dependants age-out at 21. Why this discrimination against legal entrants?
I am planning to send emails to as many senators as possible over the weekend.

Congratulation to 9years and Vayumahesh. Thank you both for documenting your journey. My EB2 perm was applied from the new company i have joined and it is approved this month. Hopefully i should be applying for I-140 next month.
I have applied my 485 in July 07 but i was not married at that time. I am married now and my my wife is on H1B. When should i add her or amend my I-485.

When you become current and before you get your GC approval notice, you should file 485 for your wife.

i had put up the previous two posts on this page asking about relief for Schedule A professionals in 2008......time has passed by but nothing has changed.....no sight of any relief or any schedule A bill........missed the july 2007 fiasco due to employer insisting on 40 day cool off period........have been in US for 6 years......no sign of EB3 india being even close to Oct 2007 (my PD)........employer has refused to file EB2 point blank.......no other employer ready for EB2........spouse on h4 visa since oct. 2006......have lost all hope and just going through the motions......is there light at the end of tunnel???
