Under the Fees section, it stated that if you filed your I485 on or after July 2007, and you paid the I485 fees, then no fees is required. Does that mean that I don't have to pay for the $305 for my advanced parole?
My I485 was received sept 2007, and I paid for the I485 fees, offcourse. This is something that I'm not too sure.
The filers who ever filed in July 2007 to August 15 2007 need to pay Advance parole money also.

Yes, I believe you are correct. If you've used the old fee structure in July 2007, you need to pay for EAD/AP renewal each time.

I know of cases where people agreed to show up but when the d-day came by.. not one ticked!!
Great idea! Yet. we don't want the media taking pictures of our registration table handing out money to rally attendees (reinbursing). I can just see headlines like "Rally attendees paid/bribed to attend"
Our effort needs to come from our hearts. We need to do this for America, ourselves and our families because this is the right thing to do!

It is great that the dates have become current and many of our friends here at IV can apply for 485. Congratualtions!!! to all that can apply.
I am in a dilemma and don�t know what to do:
My LC has been approved PR 02/10/05
My I-140 is pending.
I know I can file for 485 but my wife is on F1 � OPT and is working she has applied for a H1 and will get it because of Master�s quota but will not be effective till October, 2007. Can I file 485 now even though she is on F1?
I have two choices, either wait till October 2007 or cancel the H1 go to Mexico and get a H4 stamp for my wife and apply for 485. Please advise what I should do. Thanks!!!

You have a great plan, come to US on H1 and within 6 months get EAD and you are free from H1b crackdown by jumping to EAD. You think USCIS, Grasley, sanders, and anti eb folks are a bunch of idiots, they will send you and me packing with the same rfe they are hitting h1 folks with if everybody gets to pre file AOS and get EAD. that is why you need to strengthen ac21 by removing same\semilar job condition and other potential h1 like rfe's, otherwise you will drag us down along with you and turn ead into h1.
How tough it is to get PERM approval nowadays with the economy being what it is. Previously we had some reasonable times, but now every application is being scrutinized closely. It's not as easy as 6 months after landing in the US to get PERM approval and be able to file for EAD.
Your arguments have a flavor of "Let me in and shut the door". So please go away and start your own thread for reforming AC21.

If there is any progress on this please let everyone know. I also tried and was refused by the SSA for my wife's SSN.
I would be willing to contribute in any way possible in this case... and that's not just for the money. I feel the spouses on H4 visa are heavily discriminated against.

USCIS does not work for you or me but sure you can go and ask them for prefiling AOS but not to issue RFE for same job requirement condition and other haressing rfe. how can you say we cannot ask USCIS not to raise RFE for irrelevant stuff,I guess you are ok with all the RFE that are being issued by USCIS on h1 holders currently. Sure some of those rfe are valid ones but vast majority of them are to kick h1 out. Does USCIS or any other department issue rfe to GC holders when there is something "fishy" as you put it. Like I said as long as you work in the relevant field in which your labor got certified we can ask to be left alone. Its one thing to get an rfe for birth certificate, medical records and another thing if you are issued the sort of rfe that are being issued to h1. You and all the people who missed out on July fiasco obviously want to file AOS and get EAD at any cost (i understand and support that ) but what about us who have been here for 5 to 10 years and took us multiple years of wait to file AOS and get EAD. Without strengthening AC21\EAD and allowing everyone to file AOS is going to attract USCIS, grasley, sanders and all anti eb folks attention.

If you feel there is so much of importance for your SO COMPLEX CUSTOMIZED REQUIREMENT then why dont you start a new action item and gather people? Believe me I would be the first person to support you, because I understand the issue and I would like to work as a team. All I am saying is do not mix up the action items.
