He was already the face of the Iraq surge. Now he was becoming the face of what opponents called 'amnesty.' Just tone down the rhetoric, his advisers pleaded. McCain refused. Hi Gurus,
My I140 application is denied and pending appeal and I am in the proces of applying for new I140, in Part 4 section 6 is it suggested to give deatils of old I140 and if checked yes what all documents should be attached.

It depends, on several factors inlcuding which service center it filed, is there any RFE or any document missing etc.
In ideal case it geenrally takes 4-8+ weeks.
If you want any fater within 2 weeks) you can file under premium prossing with addtional 1000$ fee.

An article this past week in the Wall Street Journal shows a different reality. The piece focuses on the dairy industry which is completely dependent on immigrant labor even in a major recession. Per old instructions everyone was sending to Nebraska, and new instructions published are for 'direct filing'.
Do I follow direct filing rule or Nebraska only rule?
I am finally ready with medicals and photos and will be sending packet tomorrow.

One of the docs folks usually send is an employment letter from your new employer detailing the job duties, etc.
Most would give you this only after you join the new employer.
I don't think an offer letter with job duties would suffice.
Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Hi all,
I am on h1b right now but had applied only for AP since i do not have valid stamping on my passport but have an approved renewed h1b extension valid till 2012.
My AP will be expiring coming nov 2009 and have the following questions,
1) How many days before expiry can i apply for the AP renewal. If i apply now the texas processing times for AP is around Apr 1 2009, does it mean the new AP they will provide from Aug 2009 to Aug 2010 or from my AP expiry date which is nov 2009 to nov 2010?
2) I am also thinking of applying for EAD to keep as a backup (just in case).
Can i apply EAD alone now and wait for nov to apply for AP (or should i apply both together) ?
3) If i do a paper based filing does it mean there will be no request for finger printing?

My 140 was filed for a future Team lead position. I am currently a Sr Sw Engg with the same employer. The job description is nearly the same. But I am not sure how this little quirk effects my AC21 eligibility. When does my 180 day start counting ? From filing date or from the date I get the Team lead title ?
