Yesterday Congressman Joe Wilson talked to reporters about his claim that the President was lying about immigrants having access to health care subsidies under the President's health care plan. According to the NY Times: �I�m for immigration,� [Wilson] said, adding that he had been an immigration lawyer, although he did not specify exactly what he had done. �But people who come toour country and violated our laws, we should not be providing full services.� It struck me immediately that this would be bizarre if true. ALL,
As expected this happened, but it happened sooner than expected.
This expected sooner because CIR was voted out in Senate and this was not thought about by this goverment.
Basically this was a close door arrangement between govt agencies which temporarily wanted to lower the friction by IV AND SIMILAR GROUPS.
BUT finally I believe this will come to a rest once we have new government next year.
Till that we are a tennis ball which can be tossed to any court.
PS: I dont even have I-140 and not even applied for one.
So best of luck to all and me.

Recently I filed a H1-B Part time Visa. I received the notice from the Lawyer that my application got a RFE on it.
Will they usually show the status online? When I check USCIS, it does not say my case had a RFE on it.

Hi,
I am a F1 PhD student The company we've been cooperating with gave me an internship offer for this summer working as an independent contractor under CPT for three months.
The univeristy international offer and the career office are both OK with this but I saw some opposite opinion online. Could someone give me a clear answer: is this legal F1 student under CPT working as independent contractor?

Hi,
I have two H1bs. I was working on first H1 till 02/2007 , i moved to second H1from 03/2007 . I am planning to go back to my first H1b which is valid till 03/2008.
Is moving back and forth on these two valid H1 is possible? If so what steps i need to follow.

I have 3yrs degree(Microbiology) and one year postgraduation diploma in computer science and 9years of work experience, Can I apply on EB2, some peolple saying at I-140 stage it gets problemetic with your degree, my employer says you can eligible to apply on EB2, Iam in real dilama, can any one please help me... thanks
I tend to think that your I140 in EB2 will be a problem. Specially so if your filing center is Nebraska. They have a reputation to be very very strict. Ask your employer if he has previously approved cases for people with your background.

Can anyone please tell me,
when i had downloaded the "May-Preview" and "August-Preview" of expression Blend, it has 3 options for "New Project Type" :
1. Standard EXE
2. Control Library and
3. Silverlight Application (Java Script)
But when i downloaded and upgraded with the latest version, the last option (SilverLight Application) is not there.
Can anyone please tell me,

Companies can change their address after filing your 485 and there is no reason to intimate USCIS if the company's address change. BUT make sure your address is correct on their system. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

Guys, I could use some suggestions here. I had filed for my and wife's EAD on July 30th. My wife wasn't working and my EAD is valid until mid-November. However recently my wife got a job offer and will starting work next week. Her EAD actually expires 15th Oct. Reading through posts it seems that the chances of her receiving EAD approval within 75 days is highly unlikely. Can anyone give suggestions on what is the best course of action to follow to ensure she doesn't have to take a break soon after joining?

I would call NVC (National Visa Center), they have a customer service number and I heard they are pretty helpfull.
