The new visa bulletin is out at this link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5113.html. Employment-based categories are as follows: EB-1 remains current for all countries; EB-2 remains current, except for India and China which are at May 2006; EB-3 is at Dec. 2004 for all countries, except for India (Jan. 2002), China (Oct. 2003), and Mexico (currently unavailable); EB-3 other workers is at March 2003 for all countries, except India (Jan. 2002)and Mexico (currently unavailable); EB-4, religious workers, EB-5, and targeted employment areas and regional centers are all current. Family based petitions are backlogged, with the most recent date at Jan. 2010.

HI,
My 6 yr H1B is expiring within 4 months, my company will be filing for the 7th yr extension. Will there be any problem if I send my inlaws for visitor visa now.
Can any one please advice.

Gurus,
Need suggestion and advise. I recently moved to LA as i found a new job. I do have permanent home in chicago and i m planning to rent a place in LA. Do i need to call USCIS and update my address for I485 application? Is it ok to have my permanent address in chicago continue in I485 application? Please advise.

Hi,
I have been without a pay for 2 months now, will that affect my I-485 application which was filed in July 07
Get a job ASAP - when ur 485 is being adjudicated - they will ask for job proof and it would be good to have as many paystubs.

I-140 processing date isn't country specific, but make sure check the date for the center you have applied to - the date varies by center

You can extend status while living at US, but for re-entry after international travel (after November 26, 2009) you must get the visa stamped on your passport.

The USCIS has issued guidelines for petitioners filing cap-subject H-1B petitions for Fiscal year 2011. It seems quite a few individuals with older priority dates from 2003 & 2004 are still waiting for a decision on their RiR cases (both state and regional) from Dallas BEC. It has been recently reported that many of these cases have received RFE's from BEC on a variety of issues (they might also have had an RFE at state or regional). I think it would be advantageous for all of us in similar situation if we can anonymously post the type of RFE's we receive and possible ramifactions for the same.
If some one knows of a similar thread elsewhere please provide a link, that way we can avoid duplicates.

Approximately how many labor applications were filed each day for EB3-India. ?
Assuming around 5-10 each day and around 300 days in a year . it would
be around 3000 . Considering that there was minor downturn in 2001-2002
year i'm assuming that Cut-Off dates should be moving faster for EB3-I.
Note: I'm in EB3 India category and trying to make a calculated guess.
