    I got this email from case Update like that below.What is that mean?I filed 485 July 2007 and PD is March 2005 EB3 India.Please advise.I haven't recived any postel mail yet..Thanks

    Just go to "edit photo" and you should be able to copy an image from an album to the monthly challenge.

    How do I post to the monthly contest and keep the pictures in my albums? If I copy the images it posts them again in the "today's photos". Is there a way to post to just your album without them going to "today's photos"?

    I am attaching a flyer for your convenience. You could request your friendly neighborhood ethnic grocer (Indian/Mexican/Chinese/Filipino and others) or video rental store, religious gathering or communal gathering place to carry these flyers in a prominent location. (You'll be surprised at the positive response you will get from such businesses- I had my reservations at first, but when I approached a temple sometime back, the temple officer appreciated the efforts made by us for such a "great cause"- his own words).

    I recently got an RFE for my I 485 Application.

    Need to prove my non-immigration status from Nov 29 2007 to Nov 24 2008 .

    I have I-797 ( H1-B approval ) for the above mentioned period. But My Last Name in the approval has a typo error ( in place of letter A they misstyped U). My Enployer has opened a Service request to correct the Name in H1 B approval. But he is saying that he never got the corrected approval. Time went by and i applied for H1 ext..i got the H1 extension from Nov 25 2008 to Nov 2011.

    So My question is

    Is it okay to submit all the documention that was sent to USCIS to correct the name along with the I 797,I-94 for the above mentioned period and explain them that we did not recieved the corrected I-797 ? or not

    Please suggest me ..

    Is there any body who have I485 filed at TSC and EAD and AP filed at NSC. If it is so, will that create problem in getting that EAD card? Since, they check 485 filing for EAD card production. Please advice.

    Can somebody help me on this one:

    Regarding the receipt notice of I-485: which is the difference between the receipt date, receipt number and receipt notice.....from my understanding....the receipt date is when your I-485 application hits Uscis and the receipt notice is when the Uscis is really opening your package and looking at it?

    Is it safe to travel( with valid H1b) knowing that your file hits the Uscis...or you have to wait for the receipt notice( now with so many filers for July, is it true that Uscis will send the receipt notice very late, maybe months, I mean later than the June filers.)?

    Is it safe to travel after you file for I-485 and before getting the receipt notice....hoping that the receipt will come after you returned to U.S?

    Thank you so much...I'm so confused about this receipt notice, I didn' find any law regarding this, that you can not travel witout receipt notice.

    Hi,

    I had an approved I-140 from my previous company with a priority date of Nov 2005. I moved to a new company, and my GC was applied again in Dec 2006. My previous I-140 was used to retain my priority date. However, my new I-140 from this company shows the priority date of Dec 2006.

    How do I make sure that my previous priority date (Nov 2005) is on file, and my case will be filed according to that.

    Online EAD status says Card production ordered. Not received card yet. Is there any memo/ lawyer opinion that says it is OK to work that as a basis for employment eligibility?

    You need to have the card in hand to fill in I-9.

    Hi there!
    I was reading some info abt EAD on this site and have come to know that Once H4 visa holders get their EAD's can work after getting SSN.But I read that If H4 visa holders start working as soon as they got EAD's.Does this invalidate H1 visa status if wife starts working on EAD.Please clarify my doubt.

    My visa H1-B nd h4 visa was expired on june 30 2010. I have got an job offer and they filed my H1-B petition after july 20 2010. I have submitted my I140 and mine & my wife I485 applications in EB1 category on Feb 22 2010. The gap between the H1b process is nearly 20 days period. The USCIS has approved my H1 but my wife's H4 was denied.

    Here is my question. Whether they would have kept the I-94 for me. How can we proceed with H4 denial situation. Please give me some suggesion

    Guys,
    Can we file I-485, after August 1 2007 and
    before August 17 2007 (as I'm preparing my medicals).Is there a chance USCIS stop taking the application after July 31 2007 by giving some crap reason?Also I understand that filing fee is same for I-485 until August 17 2007.Is that true even for I-765 and I-131.Please clarify.
